I had to laugh at how your accurate Sag on the 6th was for me, even some of the conflicting/opposing things. I mean, I just lost 100 pounds by only eating 2 sandwiches a day for 2 years. That is so Sag on the 6th! lol “Going overboard with diet and health.” (Of course this did correspond with appropriate transits and progressions.) “Seeking wisdom through health and diet exploration. Diets that expand the mind.” In my twenties I became a vegetarian for a year because I read in a Robert Anton Wilson book that merely doing so would change your consciousness and that it was a good exercise. So I did it. Then after the year was up, I took up meat again! “Over eating. Gluttony.” Of course the ruler of my 6th house, Jupiter, is inconjunct my Ascendant in the 8th house already, AND I am a Taurus with Venus in Taurus so YES, I loooooove food. I really do. I weighed 280 at my “peak.” Now I am 178! Thank goodness for Saturn, sometimes.

It’s amazing how Saturn can really get you to work on your body under certain transits and progressions. Saturn transiting my 1st (in Virgo- still there) made me completely re-commit to an exercise routine.

I’m glad that some of the descriptions resonated with you. I think that opposing characteristics certainly can live within the same person.

Almost all of your descriptions have been spot on, the only problem I’ve run into is my Virgo IC… I have a 27 Virgo IC, so Virgo on the 4th house, but Pluto at 1 Libra conjunct the IC. Libra is intercepted in the 4th with Pluto and Uranus and the Part of Fortune. The Virgo 4th house description doesn’t fit me at all, but the Libra one fits me to a tee. I’m guessing that Pluto conjunction on the IC just pulls all that Libra energy into my 4th house life! Funny though, the Pisces MC is spot on, with no planets up there to mess with it. Thanks for sharing all your expertise with these house explications!

        • http://astrofix.net/ Michelle

That’s interesting. I have some ideas about interception but I haven’t completely worked them out yet. Where is your Mercury?

Mercury at 9 Taurus in the 11th house

  • Miss Shawn

Great insight. I have Sag through the 10th, 11th and 12th. So clearly alot to chose from! Jupiter is in the 7th in Leo. I am an Aries Sun/Mercury in the 3rd…three houses of Gemini, 4th, 5th and 6th. Thing is, I am…and here is what proves all of this. I am a Psychic, Medium with a degree in Metaphysics, an Astrologer, Teacher of all Esoteric Knowlege, have lived in 3 countries and travelled extensively (Saturn in Sag in the 10th) also for work. I am an American but have lived in London for 25 years, but also travel when I can. I definately do not like my freedom imposed on and have studied psychology, philosophy as well as metaphysics and healing. I was a Nurse, have alot to say about hospitals (mostly do not like them) so did not stay in Nursing, and practice Holistic medicine. My North Node conjunct my Saturn but in the 11th house, worked with groups in all aspects of self development and consider my friends, those who are like minded more my family. I have had my own radio show, hence broadcasting and media, write and am currently working on my 2nd book. Had my own column too on Metaphysics, been in the press many times and international magazines. Believe in my “calling” and not interested in the brain washing of many religions. Truth seeker and will and have sacrificed myself for that truth or the seeking of it. Needless to say, I speak some other languages, and I am truely interested and have worked to help raise the awereness of humanity, seeing this as my true pupose. Good analysis, as you can see I am living proof! Also south node in the 5th…we won’t go into my love life or we will be here all night! (Venus in Gemini in the 4th, conjunct South Node in the 5th, exact opposition to Saturn in the 10th and conjuncting the North Node in the 11th in Sag!) Astrology is a life map of the soul. :-) I just bared mine! ;-) Thanks for your work, excellent! Shawn

Thank you for sharing Shawn :) You must have been born at an extreme latitude to have triple houses. Have you ever viewed your chart using whole signs? What is your rising sign?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000922953913 Levi Fuentes

I have 12th House at 6° 35′ Sagittarius and Sagittarius rising at 26° 57′. In the Placidus system, I have a stellium of Sagittarius in the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Ceres in the 12th House but when doing whole house, it’s within the 1st House. Sun conjuncts Ascendant by 8° 52′, Sun conjuncts Mercury by 4° 50′, Sun conjunct Mars by 9° 49′, Sun conjunct Ceres by 0° 41′ and Mercury conjunct Mars by 4° 59′. I would say that, on the whole, I portray 12th House more than I do 1st House.

My Jupiter is in 13° 59′ Virgo in the 9th House. Sun, Mercury, Mars and Ceres square Jupiter, with one of my tightest aspects between Mercury square Jupiter by 0° 43′.

Speaking on behalf of the 12th House Sagittarius, I would have to add that over-optimism can be one’s undoing (especially in my case), fascination with dream interpretation and symbolism, feeling expanded / fascinated with deep psychology, fear of court decisions, experiencing out-of-body experiences, viewing the church or place of worship as a spiritual sanctuary, theophobia or being theophobic, liticaphobia, fear of traveling and fear of the public’s opinion.

I would have to say, you pretty much have it nailed.

Does your Jupiter still end up in the 9th house using whole signs?

In whole sign, Jupiter landed in my 10th House.

    kudos for this too, Mich

ok i am learning astrology and find it very interesting. I read about sag and am interested about your writings on the 7th 8th and 9th houses. My moon is…lets see if reading this right…15″ 39′ 45″ in the 8th house. The 7th house sag is what i have been looking for in a man but not getting and the 8th house sounds more like my dad who molessted me and also alot of the characteristics of 2 of my husbands. the 9th house is also alot of the things to do with what I believe and want. Can you maybe give some insite on why the 8th house is what I have described? Thanks Tina

    • Michelle

The 8th house has a great deal to do with taboos, trauma, other people “stuff” and healing. The Moon in the 8th would point to some kind of emotional trauma involving your mother, or the need to heal your emotional self (among many other possibilities).

      • Bratdog47

Thanks…My dad physically abused my mom…I think the healing is just that I need to leave it in the past.

        • Michelle

Where is transiting Pluto in your chart right now?

          • Bratdog47

um…how do I find that out? I tried to figure out on astro.com…but not sure. If I read right it’s in the 7th house right now. If it will help… this is my info. Born at 3:04 am on june 7th, 1963 in Stevens Point , Wisconsin. Why are you asking about Pluto? Got me curious!

            • Michelle

I was just wondering if transiting Pluto might have something to do with the healing process you are in. Pluto is transiting your 9th house right now.

              • Bratdog47

hmm…maybe. I found out last night through another site that Saturn was retro in my birth chart, and it has to do with sexual abuse and just plain abuse by people who would have authority, like say a father. Which I thought was interesting, since I was abused. Anyway thank you. If you have any other insights for me, I would love to hear what you think.

                • Michelle

With Pluto transiting your 9th you might find yourself breaking out of previous ways of thinking about things. You might take a broader perspective and want to expand your knowledge of the world versus the environment you were educated in. You could discover teaching abilities that you didn’t know you had.

                  • Bratdog47

Thank you. What would it mean if I only have a little bit of Sag in my 9th house and the rest is Capricorn? and also can you tell me how long Pluto has been in my 9th house and maybe what planet just left? Thank you. Actually is their a site that tells you daily or weekly what planets would be transiting though each of my houses? And hopefuly free…as right now I have no money. I enjoy hearing from you…thanks again!

                    • Michelle

I believe that astro.com has a daily transit reading that tells you the current aspects. If you go to astro.com, free horoscopes, extended chart selection then enter your data, you can select “natal chart with transits” from the dropdown box. Once you “click here to show the chart” your natal chart will show up with a ring of transits on the outside.

                    • Bratdog47

Thank you. I’ve done that previously, but wasn’t sure how to read it. :)

                    • Michelle

I’ve had a few readers ask how to read transits. I’m thinking of writing an eBook about it.

                    • Bratdog47

I think that would be a wonderful idea, and well received by everyone. Go for it! :)

                    • Michelle

Thank you for the vote of confidence :)
