Capricorn Lunar Eclipse: Passionate Responsibility

Capricorn Lunar Eclipse

Tight squeeze

The Capricorn Lunar Eclipse is Saturday (June 26th). There will be a Moon/Pluto/North Node conjunction in Capricorn. Those three will oppose Sun/Mercury/South Node in Cancer. This opposition forms a cross with Jupiter/Uranus in Aries opposing Saturn in Virgo.

Squeezing through

The Fool

Wonder, fearlessness, faith, risk

Jupiter in Aries indicates leaps of faith. Uranus in Aries wishes to break free. Saturn wants to be sure that we are being realistic. Pluto in Capricorn emphasizes empowerment through hard work and tearing down false structures.

The expansion and progress we wish to make, globally and personally, need to fit within tight parameters- but they’re possible.

    The Hanged Man

    Surrender, breaking habits, letting go

The North Node/Pluto/Moon conjunction in Capricorn is pointing the way to self-sufficiency by getting serious about deep change. What have we become dependent on? The South Node in Cancer continues to emphasize letting go of dependent relationships- with people, objects or situations. Jupiter/Uranus in Aries supports becoming self-reliant. There’s no time like the present to release neediness. Saturn, in the late degrees of Virgo, wants us to cast a critically realistic eye on the world. Where are the small flaws that can cause the whole system to collapse? Who is paying attention to the details? The Sun/Mercury/South Node conjunction in Cancer cautions about playing it safe and taking the least ambitious route.

The Pluto in Libra generation

Pluto in Capricorn is saying something to the Pluto in Libra generation about getting passionate about taking responsibility. People with Pluto in Libra are known as the slackers. We sit back, we watch, but we never get our hands dirty. However, we are all approaching our Pluto square Pluto transit (some of us are already in it). This square will challenge us to get ambitious, to get off our butts and to become authorities in the world. Pluto in Capricorn is dumping a big pile of responsibility in our laps. How are we going to handle it? Are we going to step up to the plate or wait for someone else to do it for us?

    Stength/Lust

    Strength, passion, lust

What are the false structures in your life?
What constructs have you built that no longer work for you?
How can you take daring risks while being grounded and realistic?
Where do you need to make a sudden expansion?
Are you getting passionate about your responsibilities?
What details are you overlooking?

I pulled 3 tarot cards for this post today: Strength, The Hanged Man and The Fool. The distilled meaning is: getting passionate means surrendering and having faith.

    Hi, There,
I very much liked your article on the Lunar Eclipse on the 26th of June. Very clarifying!
My Venus, in 5°17' Cancer, is caught in the axis of the eclipse, (would you have some advice for me?) and it's already fitting in that T Square Saturn-Pluto-Uranus-Jupiter, making a Grand Cross. Very intense, I can tell you! I know very little about eclipses, so your article brought some light on this.
    Thank you very much!
    With my best wishes!

With your Venus at 5 Cancer you are being asked to reevaluate your values, relationships and finances in an effort to release dependent patterns. You are trying to balance your sensitivity and kindness with cold, hard, reality. There's a need to take risks, get out of your shell, and put yourself out there in the world. Much of this depends on your house positions, transits, etc…

Thank you for reading Eunice :D

Great post on the coming Lunar Eclipse! It is right on about releasing neediness. I feel driven to reinsert myself as head woman in charge.

Yes…I think everything is pointing to getting self-sufficient and taking responsibility. The oil spill is a great example.

Capricorn Lunar Eclipse: Getting Passionate About Responsibility…

I found your entry interesting do I’ve added a Trackback to it on my weblog :)

I think this eclipse is bringing up a lot of relationship issues for me. I guess along the lines of opening up my heart again and being passionate about myself and what I love most and just going for it without fear. Its been a challenge…My neptune at 3 degrees of cap of getting hit along with my sun & asc at 26-27 sag and my saturn & mercury at 3 & 5 deg of sag too.

I hope this eclipse isn't too crazy :)

    What happened?

    I missed this comment!

Transiting Pluto conjunct Neptune was one of the most difficult periods of my life. Which house is your Neptune in?

  • janelle

My Neptune is conjunct my Asc in the first house. So far I don't think I'm nearly as aware of its effects as I was when Pluto rolled over my Sun & Asc, now that was truly a intense experience.

    Dear Michelle,

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I think many of my values are being reevalueted now. My Venus is in the 5th, one degree away from the cusp of the 6th. It is also part of a T saquare involving Moon, Pluto and Jupiter. the whole configuration is being activated. As I said before, it's very intense!
Your blog is really great. Lucid, clear and clean!
    Best wishes

With Venus at the very end of the 5th there may be a last chance feeling in making a big change related to intense feelings surrounding a romantic relationship or creative projects you are involved in.

Thank you for the compliment- I try!

  • http://astrofix.net/ Michelle

Yes, that would have been intense. Pluto is going to retrograde all the way back to 2 Capricorn, so you're probably not done with the transit yet.

This is one of the most stressful eclipse ever happened in our time, not only eclipse, but also node, uranus, saturn, pluto, the whole power players confronting each other, pointing finger and getting mad to one another rather than working together.
Sigh! I also had similiar hypothesis about this eclipse, although my knowledge of eclipse is limited and my reading is very surreal (imaginative) lol

“Pointing fingers” is a good way to put it.
