Question for the hard aspects. Is it ever possible to 'resolve' the conflict between the two planets so that the energy is expressed positively? Or will the conflict always be there and its a lifetime struggle to overcome. I have Moon Sq Venus & Uranus, and I feel less & less of a conflict as I mature and accept my femininity and my desire for beauty, love and using my feminine wiles.
I donno why but whenever i ask 'learned' people around (practising astrology ONLY), the answers i get for hard aspects is to just “CONTROL” ourselves. No one really (i am talking about astrologers only and not gemologists, mystics, vedic astrologers, etc) gave me a solution to any one of them then to just say its all to be controlled psychologically .Work at mental level, psychology, mental manipulation and stuff (i know it works but its something difficult to master; may be with age)
I just wonder, whats more to this and what for those who have hard aspects which denote bleak 'self-control'. So those kinda individuals are always 'fated'/ 'Yod'sh' and can't do anything even after knowing about those issues in their lives?
I would surely like to know what stuff “REALLY” worked for you?(again repeat, 'Really”, don want to by something online). I cam across some fragrance remedies from Donna's blog. They work? (i have to believe if donna says it; Where can i get more info?)
Kindly share your wisdom, all.
Regards & God bless
I have Venus at the apex of a yod with Moon and Neptune. Conflict usually arises in everyday life because of our perspectives. Most of the time, I would say that the hard aspects cause a disagreement in perspective and some of the edge is taken off when you change that.
My view is that there is no inherent good or bad quality to aspects, it's just a “connection” between planets that spur some sort of development. Hard aspects seem to compel that development more strongly, but the resistance is what seems to cause the most grief. A trine between Venus and Jupiter, for instance, can cause grief through overindulgence, for example. So I don't think there is a solution to any aspect, because none of them are problems, just marks on your test papers to let you know what you've learned.
Looks like these captions were more for a female with such aspects.
Some of them are, but we all have different female archetypes inside us.
With the opposition you may feel that women are either motherly types or sexual types. You might have trouble seeing women (and your own mother) as being capable of caring and as being sexual creatures at the same time.
My experience with the square is that the tension never goes away but you learn to deal with it so it's less of a problem. You learn about what you can actually do with the energy to be productive.
Squares often need some kind of definitive action to make the tension go away. The Moon/Venus square is dynamically creative, and with Uranus involved, independently creative. If I were you I'd make a conscious effort to act on my unusual creative impulses, and to express my individual sense of style and personal taste in beauty.
I cam across some fragrance remedies from Donna's blog
You mean flower essences/remedies- they have no fragrance. They work excellently. They create subtle (and sometimes dramatic) energy shifts over time.
the answers i get for hard aspects is to just “CONTROL” ourselves
If it's a Pluto or Saturn aspect then I think that part of the solution is about control. However, control is not just about putting a lid on the energy and forgetting about it. Control is also about conscious direction and application- being the one in control of the energy instead of being a puppet of that energy.
I think with the yod it is a matter of perspective.
I think that quincunx planets are kind of like two people on a seesaw: as they go up and down the perspective changes and they view each other from different angles; only when they are perfectly still and not moving at all can they see eye to eye- but that's not the point of a seesaw!
Do you mean to say, the golden rule is to go with the what an aspect is about or resist it? The former, right? If so, what if an hard aspect is say about overindulgence..say drugs/etc.(neptune) ? Shouldn't it be resisted?
@Michelle Kindly post your views regarding remedies., etc.
Yes…totally agree.
Can you kindly post me some links regarding “proper” info about flower essences? What types? Work for all or not? How to choose? etc etc?
Thanks
Exactly what Michelle said. Conscious direction and application is the most important concept when it comes to aspects. The energy is there and will be expressed. Take any Sun/Neptune aspect for example: If it's repressed, it usually shows up in the environment, like an alcoholic father. If expressed unconsciously it could turn into a loss of self through drug abuse OR a completely natural affinity for animals. Notice with that last example it could go either way, and often does since nothing is being consciously directed. That's where the uncertainty and grief comes in since you never know what part will be manifested. Conscious application for this aspect could manifest in a spiritual awareness that causes a submission of self to a spiritual cause (very different from a loss of self to a spiritual cause since it is completely conscious).
Just like two people with the same charts can live completely different lives, aspects can manifest in a multitude of ways, whether they direct their own energies or their energies direct them. It's not necessarily about controlling the energies, just being aware of them.

The kind of energy interacting is most important and that is shown by the planets. The aspects then show how that energy is interacting. The rest of the chart gives information about how the individual handles that energy interaction.
I like your answer jjasonham.
Also, great post! I've had quite an easy time accepting my feminine side. What was difficult for me in the past was learning to accept the fact that I like to feel beautiful and wanted to feel loved, just like most everyone else. (How's that for Moon in Aquarius in 7th?)
Kindly post your views regarding remedies., etc.
For me they've been invaluable in shifting stuck and stagnant energy. Whenever I reach a place where I feel blocked or I don't know what to do, I make myself a flower remedy.
A seesaw could be better for the opposition, but I don't see the opposition as having that much flexibility. The opposition seems more like a tug of war.
Knowledge allows us to make a choice between following the course the stars have chosen for us (Fate) or Willing to Change the future. That's what astrology is about. Predestination and Free Will both exist through astrology, because the art gives us the wisdom to make changes in our course. You say it's bleak, but I say it's happy! Looking at your squares and oppositions, you can work with their energies and express them in the most positive way possible.
Since everything in my chart seems to aspect my Moon, I of course have a Venus-Moon aspect. It's an out-of-sign square. The ancients would have considered the two planets to be in trine, since they are both in earth signs– Venus in Taurus (11th house) and Moon in Virgo (3rd).
I think the aspect tends to manifest in my life as extreme love of luxuriating in laziness and a high level of lust, along with a happy-go-lucky nature and passivity that leads me into situations where later on I'm less happy but don't say anything because I don't want to “rock the boat.”
I have the square but I don't find that it leads to the opposite of the good aspects just sometimes too much of it. I have read at a few places where the square could mean not caring about personal appearance or hygiene but I feel that I actually care too much and I am very sensitive about it. “Competing with mom to see who's more attractive” – well, my mom is very beautiful but I let her know almost too often. I take too much pleasure in food. Take too much pleasure in nurturing…It is all overboard when it comes to this aspect. Maybe because Moon is in Libra and Venus is in Leo. Both signs can tend to be overindulgent.
Yes, that's a possibility too. I think your sign placement enhances that overindulgent effect. I experience something similar with my Moon in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus: I can be overly self-indulgent.
i got moon in aquarius trine venus in gemini. ur right with all your descriptions here. i lurve myself… i love being in love…
Moon trine Venus really is a wonderful aspect.
moon sextile venus
How do you experience that aspect?
Thank you for reading Anany83
Wow so true!!!
I have moon sextile venus, and I have a really beatuiful mom!
And as I said I really love the arts.
Thanks
I have Moon Virgo 3rd trine Venus Capricorn 2’01 7th
I can be very feminine, though I also have Sun conjunct Mars and Mars conjunct Mercury, so that doesn’t always help, lol!
Otherwise this fits me pretty well.

Do you like to argue or do you try to get along with people for the most part?
I hate confrontation,
I’m really sensitive to anger and/or disapproval.
Being yelled at ,too me, is like a slap in the face.
I’ve gotten better with time though.
I’ll do what I can to keep the peace towards myself and among others
but I’ve been known to be arguementative, rebellious and stubborn
if pushed too far or the wrong buttons are pushed.
I also like to playfully verbally spar sometimes, but it’s not the same.
I don’t think they’re the same either. Moon in positive aspect to Venus probably has similar qualities to Moon in Libra- so the person would be more likely to compromise and avoid fighting…arguing, shouting and fighting would be emotionally hard for them to bear.
Wow, I hadn’t thought of it like that….. Moon in Libra…..
That could/would explain a few things.
Yes, it’s true… all of what you said.
I wonder if it could give other Libra like qualities too?
Just a thought.
Venus aspects to anything could give Libra overtones; planets in the 7th house and, obviously, planets in Libra.
Ok. Thank you:-)
i hav moon sextile venus.my moon is in libra already. what i hate most is using foul languages and doing unacceptable behavior in public…refinement you know!! all of those descriptions are so true.my mom is a very gentle lady with strong values and sense a of responsibility.
one more thing, if a man has venus sq moon, he tends to have a conflict between a girl as a sexual partner and wife/mother..these types of guy cant see a wife who is a dutiful mother can also be a sexually attractive partner..these men often goes in to the search of “girls” who is according to him an embodiment of sexuality…these men often has extramarital affairs…i have seen a live example, what do you think about it?
thanks for the post.
Men with Moon square Venus do often have conflicts with seeing how a woman can be motherly and sexual at the same time.
Moon in Aquarius (2H) squares Venus in Scorpio (10H). Aquarius’ glamorous, striking, “out of the ordinary”, eccentric, electric qualities mesh with Scorpio’s mysterious, secretive, passionate, powerful, seductive traits. Hmmm….makes a really bold combination if you ask me.
As with the traits, I do feel a catharsis when I sing, act or do both. Singing helps me release any suppressed emotions and acting helps me release my feelings without it being me expressing it. I’ve always gotten along with women but I do have my quarrels. Depending on how the other person treats me or what they are trying to negotiate, I can be very cooperative but I’m very set in my ways. Depending on the situation, I can be diplomatic but most of the time, I’m not.
In my experiences, I did feel like I need to be in a relationship to keep me happy but since my break up with my 3rd ex, I feel completely fine being by myself but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy company. When I do want a relationship, I’m very romantic and self – sacrificing.
Another point to mention is that sometimes my Aquarian Moon’s cerebral nature would go into conflict with my Venus’ rather emotionally power rampages >_<. I have a masculine Moon in conflict with a very feminine Venus. When I think of Venus in Scorpio, I think of Medusa – the ultimate female fatale
I think that Aquarius and Scorpio placements are among the more difficult to balance. Aside from being extremely fixed in their opinions, they don’t have much else in common. The detachment of one versus the passion of the other… it’s a challenge.
Here’s another excerpt from Bil Tierney’s “All Around The Zodiac: Exploring Astrology’s Twelve Signs”:
“When Scorpio ‘teams up’ with Aquarius – and that’s how the Water Bearer likes to put it – the temperature drops to much cooler degrees. Actually, Scorpio always carries its hidden stash of frozen fire, which it is able to instantly thaw when needed, in case things start to get really frigid. Ironically, Scorpio doesn’t realize it has such a powerful ego (the same thing it usually accuses Leo of flaunting) until it has to deal with the Water Bearer. Unlike Scorpio, Aquarius is an altruistic sign that rarely covets what others possess, unless it’s an awesome IQ – althought not even that, since Aquarius knows it was already born wildly brilliant.”
“The contrast of temperaments found here is such that Scorpio actually starts to feel itself to be the greedy one who selfishly demands a lot from others. It’s almost when it comes to feeding its emotional hunger. Yet hanging around transpersonal Aquarius makes the self – conscious Scorpion worry that it truly is more of a taker than a giver – more an energy – sucking black hole of obsessive need.”
“To make matters worse, doesn’t have appear to have a manipulative bone in its body, plus its unusual life is an open book and it has tons of sparkling friends. Meanwhile, lonely, brooding Scorpio sometimes scare the pigeons in the park – probably due to the menacing look of wearing dark glasses on a cloudy day. In Scorpio’s opinion, Aquarius doesn’t seem to need a lot because it already has it all – the result of living a life based on inner freedom and the courage to show one’s true colors in public (Scorpio often seems to be a little too concerned about who has whatever it secretly craves).”
“Meanwhile, the Water Bearer intuits that the Scorpion is a bit of a malcontent and a little too mysterious to be appreciated intellectually. Scorpio also seems to get too caught up in a complex of details and it accepts little at face value. The Scorpion could benefit from Aquarius’ ability to quickly flash on the overview of any situation with dispassionate clarity. ‘Ditch the emotional intensity and those nasty responses to go with it and plug into the pure, accelerated mind power’, advocates Aquarius. ‘Its the only way to fly!’ Scorpio does get too wound up about things and people it cannot control and so a little mental detachment couldn’t hurt. Of course, the Scorpion is suspicious that high-flying Aquarius is way out of touch with ordinary human feelings and may need one day to get down to the bottom of why it’s so darn impersonal in all its relationships.”
“If we have these two signs highlighted in our chart, we probably started off life feeling alienated, though on different levels. Both Scorpio and Aquarius could claim not to be easily understood by most folks but, then again, they are quite capable of having odd, unsettling reactions to simple social interchanges. Aquarius takes the unpredictable path – as if it’s fun to shock people or catch them off guard – while Scorpio is just plain silent and seemingly unresponsive in ways that others find cryptic and even a bit creepy (Of course, this can be a fabulous combo for livening up Halloween).”
“Still, going rapidly from smoldering intensity to cool emotional distance and back is not an easy pattern to which others can relate. We’ll need to be less abrupt when our moods are ready to shift, plus become more sensitive to how our sudden chill factor perplexes others who thought we were getting intimate with them.”
“As these are two fixed signs associated with defiant planets – Pluto and Uranus – self – will is strong (even though Aquarius would rather call it something else, since it is uneasy identifying itself with words that begin with “self”). These two signs are also stubborn. Aquarian inflexibility applies more to its abstract principles of Truth and the ideals it expects to work for all. Scorpio’s obstinacy is rooted in its hatred of being forced to bend to the iron will of another (it would rather die first). So don’t expect to find a temperament that easily accommodates people. Scorpio / Aquarius is quite capable of flatly saying “no” to others.”
“Also, with this combo, we can contain stormy feelings for a long time – hoping that by not releasing them, we deaden their power. Instead, we eventually blow like a volcano, usually at a most inappropriate occasion and baffle everyone. At that point, even the Aquarius part of us doesn’t care how many people witness our major eruption!”
That’s a fantastic book isn’t it?
moon in (1st house pisces)square and venus (9th sagittar)
is it really bad or just bad?
What do you think? Do you overdo your Moon or Venus? Do you spend too much time wishing for the ideal dream love?
i over do both i guess but i am a really dreamer, i used to spend time wishing for ideal dream of love but now i learned that at my ages (20.2) it is really stupid to wait sth like that maybe venus and jupiter trine aspect will give me this luck
and because of moon square mars aspect i always met wrong people which is like if i desire her, her personality will not suit with me or if i get along with her, i will not desire her… this is the main problem i guess…
I have one good moon aspect and its moon trine venus, but sadly, i have lots of moon squares which puts this nice aspect in shadow… I have moon square saturn, uranus, ascendant, neptune….
Moon/Venus often shows a love of fashion.
I like everything that is creative
I have a Venus in Aquarius (9th) opposite Moon in Leo (3rd). But they are 7.4 degrees apart. Would that count as an opposition, strengthen or weaken the effect? How does the this aspect manifest anyway?
That’s an opposition. sounds like a battle between intellectual turn-ons and conversational needs.
