  • I thought the Guggenheim was a good example of atypical restructuring. Restructuring doesn’t have to be all straight lines and flat walls. πŸ™‚

OMG!! You recommended my book! xD I love you rah rah!
That’s true! I’m interested in how you relating The Guggenheim Museum in Spain with Saturn transition? We have that one in Seattle too ^^

I like your metaphors, they work for me. This is a complex subject and I haven’t read anything that really pulls it together for me in depth, so I encourage you to write something about this subject. I read somewhere that basically everyone that was born in northern latitudes has an intercepted sign, so there are a lot of people affected by intercepted signs (and of course, if they have intercepted signs, they have duplicated signs too).

  • Yes, I do. I think that natal Saturn is affected by aspects made to it by transiting Saturn and less by whichever house transiting Saturn is in. Did that make sense?

Thank you for reading els πŸ˜€

Do you think that Saturn’s transits can effect the matters of the house natal Saturn is in as well?

Thank you, I love that you appreciate that connection πŸ™‚

Here’s an excerpt from her reading on the gemini thing…

“employing the Placidus system… your ascending/signs are
    both Taurus @ 19 degrees 24′ 48″ through 16 degrees Gemini 43′ 35”.
This indicates the energies are more Gemini than Taurus. However, both are available for you to employ in reaching out to the world. In the Placidus system of house structure there are often what is called “Intercepted houses” that are as I have mentioned above, more than one sign per house. Also, frequently there are two houses that contain all 30 degrees of one sign with the one before at the beginning of the house & the following one the later part of the house. Generally these two very large houses (always in opposition) representing the major focus of the individual. In your case the 11th/5th house polarity are the largest…each containing all 30…”

  • For this particular post you can look to three different houses if you want to- both Aquarian houses, and the Capricorn house. It gets complex with interception. I haven’t written any posts about interception yet. It’s a topic that’s a little too complicated for a blog comment…I’ll keep this in mind for a future post. Briefly, some astrologers think that the two houses covered by the same sign are linked together and express themselves in a similar way. I tend to view intercepted signs as being like landlocked countries and the planets in those signs as being stuck in a landlocked country: they have no way to access the rest of the chart; they have to rely on the sign on the cusp as a port to the rest of the chart. Because they are “landlocked,” planets that are intercepted sometimes don’t get the attention they deserve until they get hit by a major transit by an outer planet (Uranus, Neptune or Pluto), or Saturn.

Thank you for reading Charles πŸ™‚

  • Your connection with winged animals and your planets in Air signs is a beautiful synchronicity.

I have no idea what she means by stating that you also have Gemini rising. If you know your exact birth time, then you can have only one sign rising.

It’s awesome that you are rekindling your interest in astrology. Symbolic languages overlap in so many ways.

  • Charles

I never know how to read these when I have a duplicated sign. I have Aquarius on the cusp of both my 7th and 8th houses.

And for that matter, I don’t know how to read them when I have an intercepted sign. But that doesn’t apply here.

I keep gravitating back here, I think your astrology addiction is infectious, ha πŸ˜‰ I’m getting hungrier to learn more about all of this stuff — I’m finding it so synchronous with the things that intuitively come to me.

I’ve now discovered yet another astrology thingee in my email from a few years back — and now remembering that I have connected with several astrologers along the way. Will have to flesh it all out eventually.

Again, what most intrigues me is how it overlaps my “stuff.” Like in this new partial reading I found, she says “The majority of your planets are in air…” and that’s a bing-bing for me, because I have a plethora of winged animals totems — most of them are birds. And the knowledge of totems is primarily an intuitive thing. We simply “know” that this energy is part of us, but often we discover them because we have literal experiences with them in our lives. The Owl came to me in the physical long before I knew anything of totems or metaphysics — but it was an awesome and very unusual experience. Even so, years later, it was the Crow that I first “knew” … And many more have flown into my life since πŸ™‚ And yeah, with all that “in the air” stuff, I do have a hard time getting grounded. I “fly around” a lot πŸ˜‰

She says I have “Saturn in Capricorn in the 8th house” … I googled to see what “8th House” represented. House of Death. Intriguing. The Owl and the Crow, my two main totems, both can represent death, it’s the reason people fear them. For years, I’ve often felt people fear ME, without really understanding why — I’m just a little red-haired girl πŸ˜‰ Although I have been told I can be “intense.” lol I really don’t see death as an ending, and have offended people on occasion because my reaction to it doesn’t serve their need for drama in that area, I suppose.

Oh, and I had told you that my rising sign is Taurus, but this astrologer says, as I’m understanding it, that I also have Gemini rising? And she feels that it’s stronger than the Taurus. She said I’m more of a Libra/Gemini. She also said “No other house in your chart has the emphasis of energy anywhere near as intense as the 5th house” — which is about creativity, right? So that seems pretty cool, since I have strong interest (and ability/talent) in so many modes of creativity — to the extent, that I’m all over the place, I don’t know which to pursue.

Anyway, such a fun topic πŸ™‚ Thank you for all your great posts, I’m hoping I can settle down enough to learn much more about astrology.
