That’s so interesting about Mercury-Neptune. It’s especially interesting because they are all minor aspects. I wonder if minor aspects between Mercury and Neptune in general show the potential to have a soft voice.

I’ve read here and there about star seeds, but I don’t completely understand what they’re about. It’s something about people who are sent here to seed the earth with new energy- lol, um, something like that.

I looked at our charts and both of us have Mercury-Neptune aspects! I have it semi-sextile and she has a biquintile…I’m not too versed in those aspects, but there they are 🙂 I totally dig how your boyfriend is using his north node, I love being able to put my foot down guilt free, and I hate it when others try to guilt me into something I don’t feel up to doing. I love to dance and have a good time, but I have no shame when it comes to snuggling up with a good story or movie alone in my bed…pure bliss.

Lol, I was told I was a star seed, from the Aldebaran constellation. I guess anything is possible. It would explain my unusual space cadet/ black sheep ways, especially since I’m super Sagittarius tinged with Aquarius & Pisces, lol such a mess.

The Vertex does seem like a magnet. My ex and I had double whammy Saturn aspects to the Vertex. We definitely learned a lot about ourselves and relationships. It wasn’t always easy, there were plenty of tears and heartaches, but I still smile at some of the nicer memories together. I feel like its similar to the north node because when I read about the Vertex in the signs it seems like we’re to engage in that signs energy and benefit it. For example, my Vertex is in Leo and I’ve read that one should not melt into the collective group (Aquarius) but instead take full credit for their efforts. That is something I struggle with.

  • I must’ve seen that type of character on TV or something and identified with the character.
I think that the images we see and the characters we read about do trigger something in us that says, “I can do that” or “I can imagine myself like that.”

That’s such a great description of what your South Node would be like- espcecially the “feeling proud” of it part. Maybe in your last life you were one of the first full-time career women and you were proud to be a part of that movement. This time the goal is probably not to go out and make a name for yourself but to spend more time cultivating private, comfortable, intimate relationships.

  • Woops! I accicdentally unistalled DIsqus- I had to add your comment back in.

My North Node is in Scorpio.

It’s funny- my brother is a normal looking guy, yet, he has a ton of self-confidence about his appearance. Maybe he was devastatingly gorgeous in a previous life.

That photograph is so beautiful. I’d love to visit Indonesia.

WOAA What happened! My avatar changed! ^^
Ya Ya..exactly your node calling you to be more personal. Is your north node in cancer? Where was that?
Your bro south node conj venus in mc? Gosh..he is so freakin beautiful then lolol ^^
The picture you put there reminds me of my country: Indonesia. Farmers made a landmark like that to keep the ground fertile, we call it “sengkedan” 😀
It looks dramatic from a distance.

I listened to last few minutes of the post again, and I was thinking about my Leo SN in the 10th…

I was in the fifth grade and I remember telling a friend that I saw myself as a workaholic when I grew older. I saw myself as a lawyer/business woman type. At the time, I think I even felt good, or “proud” to be the type of worker who didn’t have enough time for her family because this would mean that she was good at her job. I also saw myself as someone that was head of a company, someone who was powerful. I know that I had felt this way really only up until recently — as recently as a couple of months ago.

What’s interesting, though, is that I was only ten and really had no basis for those thoughts! I had never worked before and wouldn’t know anything about being a workaholic. I must’ve seen that type of character on TV or something and identified with the character. The SN is what feels more natural. Weird!

  • you have calling to be more personal?

What do you mean by that? I know I said something about “conversation” and personally speaking- just meaning that actually having discussions with people is part of my node journey.

My brother’s SN in Capricorn is interesting. He’s a bit of a lazy butt (Taurus rising) but he’s actually very responsible and reliable when it comes to work- those traits really surprised everyone. It doesn’t hurt that his Venus is in Capricorn conjunct the Midheaven and his South Node.

    xx

  • Very appropriate voice for a “princess” hehe :]
a little bit shy but it surprise me..you have calling to be more personal?
Awesome podcast! ANd I felt so much related to the story..except your brother’s node in capricorn?
Oh wait! My sis has stellium in cap 5th house too lol.. 😀
    Keep doing your thing Mich

  • Thanks JChristine 🙂

I’ve been accused (my whole life) of speaking too softly. When talk louder or more “authoritatively” I sound shrill and strained. I wonder if the softness has anything to do with Neptune sesquiquadrate Mercury. Do you have a Mercury-Neptune aspect?

That’s a great view of your North Node. My boyfriend has the same placement- North Node in Taurus in the 4th. He’s really struggled to learn how to relax and how not to perpetuate crisis in his life. He’s learning to put his foot down and absolutely refuse to budge when it comes to his own peace of mine and serenity.

Another star system!? Lol…that’s cool :D. Which one?

The tape I used was by Dick Sutphen. He’s on Facebook and he’s on the internet, but for whatever reason I can’t find a CD version of the tape (I lost the tape). I love the idea of listening to it while falling asleep a few nights a week.

That’s a good perspective on the Vertex. I don’t think the Vertex is always positive, unfortunately. It’s like a gateway that let’s things in, or connections to be made, that are life changing, but maybe not in a “good” way.

  • Thank you for the feedback 🙂

I think it should be shorter too, and more to the point. People are busy!

I was trying not to drag out my words or thoughts so it wouldn’t get too boring.

I think what Elsa does over at the Elsa Elsa blog, keeping her videos down to “1 Minute Astrology” is a really great idea. People will probably take the time to listen if they know the recording consistently doesn’t go over a minute or two.

  • It’s so great to hear your voice! I think it’s a little different from what I expected. All of the Virgo Risings I know, have very serious voices; they take a lot of time to deliberate and so they speak very slowly… and they tend to over-enunciate and elongate their words. So, I think that’s what I expected from your voice, but you know, it’s not like that all! Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is — I think your voice reflects your Leo Moon more than anything else. It’s very sweet. 🙂

For me, I think the audio post could’ve been just a tiny bit shorter. I think cutting it down to 5-6 minutes would be ideal for me. Let’s say you’re reading a blog post, I think if you’re reading it at a reasonable pace, you could be done in a minute to two minutes?? So, when you’re delivering information via… speaking, 5-6 minutes is a lot. Does that make sense?

I use Firefox PC and I didn’t have any trouble opening the file. Thanks for breaking out of your comfort zone and sharing with us a little piece of yourself! It’s great to know you a little bit more. I hope there’s a video blog in the works and more audio blogs in the mean time! 😀 I’ve been thinking about some kind of audio/video blog, and you’ve definitely inspired me to get started! 😀

Excellent podcast! You have a very gentle voice, it kinda reminds me of someone I know…or it maybe it reminds me of my own. My mom and I have always been “accused” of having “baby voices” I guess we’ve trained them to be serene and polite, but watch out if we’re angry.

Anyway, Taurus North Node in the 4th opposite both my Pluto & Mars in Scorpio. I’ve read that this could mean that I had a very intense and/or violent past life, now this lifetime I’m just trying to relax, enjoy the good earth, enjoy good food, wine, friends & family. Supposedly south node is Scorpio people are the power behind the throne, which I can very well see how that could be. Now I try to avoid most political/social positions even if they’re minor, like my own student council. I don’t have to pull strings and go uncredited in this lifetime. I can do my hard work and simply relax in the sun…no intrigue or drama. Essentially a drama free life is my calling, and I love it! What really drives me is having my own home (somewhere quiet, near the water) and imagining my own partner and children. Also thoughts of making a great meal or lie out in nature under the trees and sun. Hm, Mother Nature is my homegirl, lol.
I share this North Node with my mom and one of my sisters, though I believe they both have it in their 2nd house. I’m pretty sure in this lifetime they have both struggled with making their own money to some extent and being grounded in their own values.

What tape did you use for your regression, I would love to try it out. I was told today that I may be from another star system altogether lol.

Btw, I feel like this is a nice companion to a conversation about the Vertex, which to me has a similar feel to the north node, in that it pushes you to do something you’re not all too familiar with and there’s a “prize” so to speak it you do!

awwww! it is not working in my computer. 🙁 too bad…

  • Good? Bad? Weird? 😀

    ur voice~!

  • I’ll try to keep them tighter and more focused in the future- maybe even breaking the recording down into sections by time.
