It’s hard to say without looking at your whole chart, but, like you said, you probably have psychic tendencies…very sensitive, maybe you are too absorbent of subtle influences at times, spaciness might cause you to sabotage yourself- those are a few ideas.

      #
      • Idan says:

Cool, and it’s what I thought.
Except from the sabotaging myself, the earth in my chart is making me stable :)

Ruler of my 12th (the Sun) is in my 2nd, conjunct Neptune/North Node/Venus (in Libra).  As I reread this post, I had to smile at the sentence, “You desire to escape from the reality of having to earn a living.”  Although I’ve always been financially responsible and a hard worker, as I got older I often wished I could find another way.  Now that I’m releasing some of my old Aries South Node in the 8th patterns (as you pointed out in another post), other opportunities are presenting themselves.  Maybe I’ll actually be able to turn my spiritual pursuits into a viable source of income.

“Your feelings of grief and loss impact your self-worth and self-esteem.  Medication, dream work and spiritual practice affect your self-worth and self-esteem.”

        Oh yeah!

        • Michelle says:

Funny, I feel the same way. Although my Sun is in Aries in the 8th house, Pluto in Libra in the 2nd house is begging me to earn my own money even as I continue to nourish interdependent relationships. I’m feeling a stronger and stronger pull toward being an entrepreneur, self-employed – and my own boss.

          #
          • LB says:

I understand.  Although there’s very little chance I’ll ever come even remotely close to earning what I used to, I’m still willing to make due with less (no choice at this point – haha!)  That’s been one of the hardest aspects of this transition – my self-worth was very tied into my previous earning power, which of course also made me very financially independent in the past.

Others, including family members, were financially dependent on me and I never let them down.  Now I’m much more “interdependent” – maybe that’s one of the lessons I’ve needed to learn, among others.

Everything’s been pushing me in this new direction anyway, so now I’m just going with the flow.  Progressed North Node having moved into the P. 12th plays a role too, I think.

With natal Pluto in the 2nd, I’m not surprised you’re wanting to feel more “empowered” in the way you handle your personal resources.  Hopefully (for both our sakes) there’s a way to combine the best of the 2nd/8th in a way that utilizes the strengths of both.

Everything is true. When I look at myself, I look sad and depressed. I’ve always been a loner. Deaths and grief have shaped how I view my life. I’m becoming more spiritual than I am being more religious. When I start coming into reality, I loose a little bit of myself in the process. Associations with people who don’t have your best interests at heart impact how you behave and present yourself. A lot of it, if not, all of it is true.

little bit confusing. ruler of 12th house, meaning pieces? and since pieces in on 11th house so i get to choose “ruler of 12th house in the 11 house?” is that correct?

If you have Pisces on the 12th house then you look to see which house Neptune is in.

oh my god nose bleed… no my pisces is in 11th house. * scratch head. sorry mich, im ignorant with all of these. my neptune is in 9th. what should i look for?

        • Michelle says:

So if Pisces is in the 11th house then Aries is in the 12th house. Since you are looking for the placement of the ruler of the 12th house, you are looking for where Mars is. Mars is the ruler of your 12th house.

This formula for understanding the activities of one house serving the agenda of another house is SO helpful and has totally changed the way I look at a chart. (I am trying to deepen my understanding of astrology and this has been a big help.) So, then how do you take into account the aspects the ruler makes to other planets. Does a square, for example, mean that the activities are challenged in the way  they serve the agenda of the other house…or???
    Many thanks – Stephanie

    #
    • Michelle says:

You could see it that way. I attendend a lecture by Demetra George in which she said that the condition of the ruler of the house will show how the events of the house unfold. So, if the Moon rules your 6th house, and it’s in Scorpio and square Saturn, then your health or daily work environment could be challenging. Does that help?

      #
      • Steph says:

Yes…it’s getting clearer and then I lose it again. So, in your example above, the activities of the 6th house serve the agenda of the house the moon is in, right? and those activities might be challenged by the square to saturn. You said the condition of the ruler shows how the events of the house unfold – is it the event of the house it rules (activities) or the house it’s in (agenda) or both to some degree. And then you factor in that it’s the moon, right? So, it’s lunar activities? I have all the pieces, but it’s hard to know how exactly they fit – which is why astrology is an art!

The ruler of the 12th house, Neptune, is in my first house and what i read is very true, especially the part that i look sad, even when i`m not my eyes tell different :). The thing that annoys me a lot is that when i tell a person some thing the person usually don`t really listen what i say, instead of that, the person believes in the perception of me… even though the perception is wrong… i have dreamy appearance, and people always see what they want to see :) … I`m not helpless person, I`m actually very strong person, i don`t feel sorry for my self, i always try and i never give up no matter what happens, and a lot of not so nice things happened to me… but i always forgive, not in a way that people can hurt me again…  but in terms of understanding the person instead of accusing the person…

You’re using the natural ruler of the 12th house – which is one way to look at the connection. Typically though you’d want to use the sign on your 12th house cusp to find the ruler of the 12th house. I too, having just recently found your blog, am very blown away with it. I have both Pluto and Mars, of 11 + 12th house Scorpio in my 8th house in Leo (cusp = cancer). Mars at the beginning, and Pluto just past the middle (of Leo). Sex, sex, sex, that’s me, alright. Nice to think that I’m not a simple addict as some psychologists might have me believe. I’ve also found the Pallas in the houses post very mind blowing, as I have Pallas conjunct my Sun in the 9th, ruler of the ninth in the tenth, in what I am told is a very auspicious degree. I am realizing what a strong bond, of whatever kind, with my (deceased) mother, who also had Pallas conjunct her Sun, but in the 11th, 12th, along with a super-sized stellium.

But wha ????? If there is great success in my life, it’s turning out to be all spiritual. Maybe that is the final interpretation of Jupiter (chart ruler) retrograde in my second house in, after all, Capricorn. I am soon to be poorer than I ever could have imagined. And I’m no Spring chicken, being of the Pluto in Leo generations.

I have a horoscope that reads like a bloody book.

    I feel spoiled :-). I got 12th house ruler in 7th.
I don’t agree with everything but I definitely feel sad and depressed in relationships. Then, I transmit my sadness to my partners, etc. Awesome.

Yes, Jupiter is the ruler of my 12th house. So, I am sad and depressed in relationships, but with enthusiasm, lol.
