Interesting Michelle, thanks. I have a trine to Mercury and to Pluto, and an inconjunct to Venus. You haven't mentioned aspects though…does any aspect count?

  2. Michelle says:

Any aspect counts. The energy shows up for any combination (sextile, quincunx, square, opposition, etc…) but each person handles it differently depending on the aspect involved. Maybe I should have give this post a different title! It's not too late!

The trine to Mercury should give easy access to mental organization- you should be able to mentally understand systems of data. Similar to Pluto- easily recognizing the underpinnings of any situation. With the trine you may not be aware you're doing these things. The inconjunct could mean that you have to adapt the way you'd like to plan relationships to the way those relationships actually unfold.

“The inconjunct could mean that you have to adapt the way you’d like to plan relationships to the way those relationships actually unfold.”

You got it (!!!), coming from someone whose 1st house Virgo Pallas and 8th house Aries South Node are inconjunct.  I guess that’s another good reason to leave past relationship patterns behind.

Among the other aspects I already mentioned (way back when), I now realize my Pallas is also at the exact midpoint (2 minutes) of my Sun/Uranus quintile . . . and my Pluto/Ceres midpoint. – both these midpoints connect my 12th house to my 2nd.  Plus, Pallas forms a biquintile with my 8th house BM Lilith/Sedna.

My Pallas is intense, but also gives me insight into myself.  I’m very self-aware and I think, what with Pallas being on the Sun/Uranus midpoint, having certain insights into astrological patterns has helped.

When I was in high-school, my friends jokingly referred to me as “The Eternal Virgin”. :)

I have a Pallas-Mars-Moon grand trine (1st, 5th, 9th house respectively) and I guess I easily handle emotions and men! It sounds weird but I actually do now that I think about it. I have had guys tell me that I think like a guy, I always chalk it up to having a very yang-y chart but this might have something to do with it.

  5. Michelle says:

Pallas, having been born from her father's head, does emphasize a more masculine type of thinking- especially when in aspect to Mars. She was an independent thinker. In a grand trine with Mars and the Moon she could show that you understand the emotional patterns of men. This allows you to relate to them on their own terms.

Hi Michelle – I like your interpretations of the aspects; they’re very helpful. I have Pallas in Virgo (1st house), conjunct a couple of Muses, square Saturn in Sag (4th), semisquare Mercury in Scorpio (cusp of the 3rd) and quincunx my South Node in Aries (8th). I’d say I have the ability to recognize patterns in bureaucratic structures that are inherently inept, harmful or hypocritical. I’m also good at researching large bodies of information, then breaking that info down into understandable parts (which often contradict what we’ve been led to believe). I do try to work with authority, when at all possible.

That's an excellent use of Pallas in Virgo square Saturn in Sagittarius.

I really like the association of Pallas with strategic thinking and pattern recognition. I really want this post to be more about pattern recognition. I think that the same mental process that happens while knitting, weaving, or looking at charts, occurs as we plan our day, plan a battle or even plant the week's meals. It's the capacity to stretch the mind out into the future and predict how events will unfold- what will form a pattern of small steps.

Sounds like you’re describing a proactive (as opposed to a reactive) thinker. My favorite kind – I like it!

Hi there!! I've been looking ALL over for Venus & chiron-Pallas aspects. Thanks for posting.

Mine are as follows: Chiron in Taurus 14 degrees CONJUNCT Pallas in Tau 13 Deg.
venus in Pisces 15 deg. *Sextile* pallas & chiron

So far, the information you provided makes the most sense> I am an astrologer. Funny, I always said the reason I love it so much is to find patterns ESPECIALLY in relationships!!

Although I am a mother & seen as ultra feminine. My dating style is a lot like a man's< I cannot stand other women who just do not get the concept: he's just not that into you…in fact I created my own (not-so-original) She's Just Not That Into You either.

    Thanks again.

  11. Michelle says:

Pallas definitely gives a masculine mind set. Sextile Venus, I imagine Pallas would be alert to the masculine point of view.

Pallas-Chiron does seem to gives an ability to see patterns in astrology. Chiron was the first astrologer and Pallas is the strategist- so it makes sense.

How do you get along with men?

    #
    • Joyrjw says:

It depends on the man, but in general, at first we get along then we tend to argue, then we get along. lol!
      It’s very strange. :-)

What about Pallas Athene in synastry?? Mine is in Capricorn in the 5th house. What are some of the dynamics when it conjuncts someone else’s sun??

        #
        • Michelle says:

What I have noticed is that Pallas synastry aspects point to how comfortable each person is with being in a relationship with an independently minded partner.

    Hi Michelle,
    Great post!
This is the first time I read about Pallas aspects and I am quite surprised with what I find in my own chart :)

    Pallas in Cancer, 1st house:
    square Sun
    quintile Venus
    trine Jupiter
    opposite Neptune
    trine Pluto

Not sure if this fits. I never stop looking for patterns in life, in religion, in the world, in every person I meet, in my relationship. I can’t stick to one beliefs and keep questioning. I tried to stick with one belief, but once I find an error or too worldly explanation in it, I’ll lose faith. Then I start losing sleep and my peace of mind is completely disturbed. It’s weird….

    #
    • Michelle says:

Interesting quills…it’s hard to say without seeing your chart, but the trine to Jupiter shows some interest in patterns of belief. Are your Neptune and Jupiter in aspect to each other?

      Thank you for reading :D

      #
      • quills says:

Yup yup, Jupiter in Pisces sextile Neptune in Cap… Jupiter trine Pluto in Scorpio as well…
Is my belief affected by Jupiter Neptune aspect instead of Pallas and the planning?
        I guess I don’t really understand Pallas yet… >.<

        #
        • Michelle says:

No…I’ve just found that people with Neptune/Jupiter aspects tend to be preoccupied with beliefs/religion/spirituality- they have strong interest in these topics. Your Pallas position affects that somewhat because it is in aspect to both Jupiter and Neptune.

          #
          • quills says:

Thank you for your reply, Michelle :)

  14. Leah-nine says:

Pallas in my chart is right between the Moon and Jupiter which loosely conjoins Chiron. “making peace with your mother” is very relevant in my life: we spent last summer going through the negative patterns in our relationship and worked really hard to heal them. My astrologer also told me that since every planet I just metioned save Chiron is in Leo it can also mean that I MUST see the patterns that that arrogant moon/jupiter conjunction manifest… There’s that narcissism thing again… :)

    Thank you for the post.

    #
    • Michelle says:

I MUST see the patterns that that arrogant moon/jupiter conjunction manifest
Jupiter does lend a touch of arrogance to anything it connects to, but it also makes you more open to possibilities.

It seems like you are at least beginning to recognize and work with those patterns. I can understand some of what you’re dealing with too. My own Leo Moon is square Jupiter (in Taurus).

  15. EJ says:

The owl and snakes as symbols, interesting. Pallas conjunct sun; I had a dream once about an owl that led me out of this dark cave, this was when Neptune made transit over my sun. I haven’t forgotten any of those dreams.

    #
    • Michelle says:

Do you have a natal Sun/Neptune EJ?

  16. kenny says:

Hey this is very interesting…I have pallas in the ascendant aquarius trine sun-mercury-mars in 9th house and also jupiter in 5th. Could you please tell me something more depending upon this as i feel pallas is quite dominant in my chart and any special feature that i have…i gues pallas also deals with recognizing pattern ability and how is it helpful to me?

     I
have Pallas in Aries quintile my Ascendant and squaring my Moon in
Cancer. And I’m absolutely obsessed with strategy games, game theory,
systems theory, maneuver warfare, etc. The Quintile aspect represents “The Hero”
The ability to incorporate and express this energy in a singular way
(Got this from another site). Or this might just be because I’m a
Taurus. Tauruses and Scorpions are excellent at strategy – the greatest
chess masters are either Taurus or Scorpio. Bobby Fischer – Moon in
Taurus, Alexander Alekhine – Sun in Scorpio, Jose Capablanca – Sun in
Scorpio, Mikhail Tal – Moon in Scorpio, Wilhelm Steinitz – Sun in
Taurus, Seigbert Tarrasch – Moon in Taurus, Tigran Petrosian – Moon in
    Scorpio.

Do you have planets in the 5th house or Gemini?

      #
      • Kai says:

My Pluto is right at the end of the 4th house/5th cusp so is my Saturn in the 5th house Scorpio. My Mars is in 0 degrees Gemini.

        #
        • Michelle says:

          Cool, Kai.

I don’t know too many people with Pluto in the 5th and it’s a placement I’m very curious to hear more real life stories about. Transiting Pluto in Capricorn will enter my 5th house in a few years.

          #
          • Kai says:

Oh and btw my Pallas conjuncts Lilith (both in Aries) and squares my Moon in Cancer. Idk if that makes me bad with women since Lilith and the Moon both relate to women’s issues.

            #
            • Michelle says:

It shows some kind of issues with women, but it could just mean that you like women that have nurturing qualities, but  who also can think for themselves and have an independent streak.

  18. Stawr says:

    Uranus/Pallas (they trine for me)
“Shocking understanding of gender identity.” yes
“Having a strategy for rebellion” oh yes I do sometimes…but sometimes it’s the heat of the moment
” Standing by as chaos takes over.” Usually
” Perceiving patterns in astrology.” starting to
”Making peace with unpredictability.” definitely…I’m a lot happier this way

    #
  19. Stawr says:

wow the Pallas Chiron for me is really spot on (they sextile)
and Pallas Mercury(conjuntion), I am going down a teacher career path right now…I’m going to school to be a preschool teacher…and teacher aide at a preschool

  20. Michelle says:

My brother has Mars in the 5th and he is very competitive when we play games. I’ll have to be on the lookout for that when Pluto transits my 5th.

What’s wrong with Eros and Chiron?

    #
    • Kai says:

They’re both very heavy influences in my chart. For one my Eros conjuncts my Sun, trines Neptune, opposes Pluto, sextiles my Ascendant, and semi-sextiles my Venus. Then my Chiron conjuncts Mars, sextiles my Mercury/Venus/Midheaven stellium, trines Jupiter, and lastly semi-sextiles my Sun and Ascendant. Not someone to toot my own horn but alot of women find me attractive XD.

Might be because of the really close quintile aspect (Pallas in Aries quintile Ascendant in Cancer – o degree orb) because I want to very Pallas-like in my actions and approach to life.
